DELICIOUS SMOOTHIES TO GET GLOWING SKIN THIS SUMMER

Delicious smoothies to get glowing skin this summer.  Follow these yummy and best recipes  for better skin. All you need is a blender and some of your favorite fruits and vegetables.

1: Mango Surprise Smoothie

Make the most of this mango season before the mangoes disappear from the markets. Stay cool and get glowing skin and a slim tummy with this low-fat mango smoothie. You can have this mango smoothie for breakfast because it is quite filling and you won’t feel hungry for long.

SERVINGS: 1

  • ¼  mango cubes
  • ¼  fat-free vanilla yogurt
  • ¼ mashed ripe avocado
  • 1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • ½ c mango juice
  • 6 ice cubes

COMBINE the mango, avocado, mango juice, yogurt, lime juice, sugar, and ice cubes in a blender. Process until gets smooth. Garnish with sliced mango or strawberry, if desired.

SERVINGS: 2

  • 1¼  chopped kale leaves (stems and tough rib removed)
  • 1¼  frozen cubed mango
  • 2 med ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 chilled fresh orange juice
  • ¼  chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • ¼  chopped fresh mint

COMBINE all ingredients in blender. Puree until smooth.

3: Gingered Cantaloupe Smoothie

This smoothie contains more than 6 mg of beta-carotene  and a smidge of alpha-carotene thanks to its cantaloupe content.

SERVINGS: 4

  • 20 ice cubes
  • 2  cubed cantaloupe (about ½ melon)
  • 6 oz low-fat plain yogurt
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp grated fresh ginger

COMBINE ice cubes, cantaloupe, yogurt, sugar, and ginger in blender and puree until smooth.

Pineapples and oranges add a tart hit of fiber and vitamin C!

SERVINGS: 1

  • 4 oz pineapple
  • 1 tbsp acai berry powder
  • 3 oz tomatoes
  • 2 oz blueberries
  • 1 orange – peeled
  • 1 tbsp hemp seed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

COMBINE ice cubes, pineapple, tomatoes, hemp seed, peeled orange, acai berry powder, blueberries, peeled ginger and water in blender and puree until smooth.

5: Apricot Smoothie

SERVINGS: 2

  • 12 pitted canned apricot halves (packed in juice), drained
  • 1 c skim milk
  • ⅔ c nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt
  • ⅛ tsp almond extract

COMBINE apricots, milk, frozen yogurt and almond extract in a food processor or blender. Process until smooth.
